Fixed game Washington is finally rejoicing after the wild card drama |

Exactly half a century after the club was founded and 14 years after moving from Canada to the United States, Washington Nationals finally managed to overcome a rival in the Major League Baseball playoffs. The Capitals beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4:3 after a dramatic turnaround of their National Parks and won a wild card game via links to football fixed games in the National League.
For the Montreal Expos Club, created in 1969, this is the sixth overall appearance in Major League eliminations, with the previous five beginning and ending in the NL divisional series;once in Canadian territory (1981) and four times since 2005 already in American territory (2012, 2014, 2016, 2017). Washington was close to a new painful dropout, having fallen early 0-3 against Milwaukee and scored just one point in the 8th inning.
In his penultimate attack, however, the Nationals attack was able to fill the bases in two outs against the Brewers star Josh Heather (L 0-1). Then 20-year-old Juan Soto hit the bat, hitting a single hit to the right, and thanks to a mistake by the Brewers outfielder Trent Grisham allowed all three runners to reach the home.
`This will weigh on me. It will take me a very long time -; said the crushed rookie Grisham. -; I just gave Washington a place in the next round. It`s painful. I expect this thought to bother me throughout the winter break. `
Brewers manager Craig Counsell tried to reassure his graduate: `It`s part of the game. And it`s very disappointing, I`m convinced Trent is disappointed, too. But we all know Trent isone of the reasons we are here. He helped us get there. This inning was very ugly. But there are some crazy things going on in baseball. `Naturally, his counterpart at Nationals, Dave Martinez, was at the opposite pole of emotions. `We started off awfully, but we swore we would not give up -; said the coach, talking about the whole season, but his reply could easily be about the particular match. -; I told the guys: ` I promise you that if we don`t stopto fight, things will turn around. `So it happened. And here we are today. `
in the first two innings -;Yasmani Grandal`s double in the 1st and Eric Times` solo in the 2nd. Trey Turner hit a home run against Milwaukee starter Brandon Woodruff in the 3rd, and it was all about attacking both teams until the turning 8th inning.
Sixth-seeded Stephen Strasberg (W 1-0) got the win after three clean defenses. Closing pitcher Daniel Hudson (S 1) did keep it, though he released a runner on base in the 9th.
Washington is about to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League divisional series. The first two playoff games in 3-of-5 format are on the strongest team in the league in 2019 -;Dodger Station in LA, Thursday and Friday (October 3-4). The match will be played in the capital No3 and possibly the match No4 on October 6 and 7, and if necessary for a decisive fifth meeting the hosts will be the `rogues` on October 9.
On the same dates will meet the other two semifinalists in the NL -;Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinas, with a home run for the Braves.
