A few hours after the new date for the first El Clasico season between Barcelona and Real Madrid was officially revealed, La Liga announced that it intends to sue the Spanish Football Federation for today`s decision. It was taken by a 2-1 vote, with the La Liga representative opposed. La Liga cannot agree with the committee`s decision to approve the date of 18 December following an agreement between Barcelona and Real Madrid, but despite La Liga`s objections to the date on which El Clasico should be postponed. La Liga has demanded that El Clasico be held on December 7th, because there is also a round of competition for the King`s Cup on December 18th.
