Pilot Red Bull Max Verstappen summed up the Friday free practice before the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi, commenting on the performance of Liam Lawson.
Lawson, who is one of Red Bull`s reserve pilots, replaced Verstappen in first practice.
To be honest, I think everything went well. I think the car worked well, with the right settings. Liam did a good job in the first practice, acted calmly and measuredly - this is all that the team wanted from him.
In the second practice, I also had no problems. We got some good settings, we tried a couple of things, and over the long haul the car worked really well. I think we have to compete with Mercedes. I`m just happy with how the session went for me in general, - said Verstappen.
